  I dreaded my service appointment because I was afraid this old refrigerator had taken its last breath, and I normally have about $4 in my wallet. The choice between mega money on a new machine vs a very expensive repair of an obsolete machine is basically a stressful hostage situation.
  
  Compass came out and found an easy fix and an inspection found no faulty parts. In the end I basically paid for an hour of labor. I could have been easily been duped into a timely repair and costly parts.
  
  When the work was done, I asked many questions about my unit (what to look for, how to care, what to expect in the next few years) as well as the reverse osmosis water filtration system (a totally new concept for me) that I inherited upon the purchase of this house last fall. I learned a ton, got very thorough answers, and never felt rushed. This was absolutely a complete and pleasant experience and Compass will be my go-to in the future.
